Philly: The Wildcard

Obviously, the race for the The King is long ended. However, for all those that were so convinced that the Sixers “weren’t an option” for LeBron, the man said it himself in an interview with Rachel Nichols: he thought about coming here. He just decided that he wanted the “challenge” of bringing a franchise of rich history back to a place they haven’t been in a while. LeBron admitted to once being a Lakers fan in the interview so, he is very well of the Lakers resumé and their status in league history. LeBron wants to have his name with the greats of Los Angeles and he wants to put L.A. back on the map. Ultimately, LeBron learned from the backlash he got from 2011 in Miami and decided on a path that would make the most sense for his legacy. The Sixers are a team that LeBron did not "disregard" and one would be crazy not to think that LeBron at least considered the city of brotherly love.
