A quote from Ben Simmons was released by ClutchPoints recently addressing the question of which hand he prefers when taking jump shots. The response he made might be alarming to some, due to the fact that the response he made makes it seem like he is not concerned with developing a solid jumper, a main focal point of those who choose to hate on Ben. The quote reads: “I never played in a year where I had to develop my shooting, because I was always better than most of the guys I played. Even this season, without the jumper, I was able to nearly have a triple-double every game.” To me, this proves Ben’s confidence in his own abilities and his awareness of the skill he possesses on the court. He knows how good he is and in his eyes, regardless of a solid jump shot, he can have a “near triple double” every game, which is 100% true. As beneficial as adding a jumper to his game would be for not only his future but the future of the Sixers, many should realize that he feels as though he doesn't need to be concerned with it as much as we all want him to be.
